Aston Martin DB7 GT 2003
Aston Martin DB7 GT 2003
Acclaimed as the best driving of the DB7, this GT manual is just right for the Aston enthusuast.
Optimum specification and colour. Recent major maintenance at Aston Martin Bristol.
This 2003 manual was originally supplied by Charles Hurst, the Aston Martin main dealer in Belfast.
In Nero black with black perforated leather Sport seats, it was optioned with the (expensive) carbon fibre interior trim pack for the centre console and door panels.
The instrument dials and clock are finished in ‘parchment’ with black numerals.
Climate controls, gear knob and pedal pads are in satin finish aluminium with matching sill plates, incorporating the DB7 GT badging.
Significantly for the next owner, this GT benefits from over £5,000 worth of recent investment following maintenance at Aston Martin of Bristol in March 2019 (at 68,521 miles). The owner ensured that ‘anything and everything be done’, resulting in a car with no advisories.
Aston Martin main dealer history.
Complete with 2 keys, original book pack, service book and manuals plus large folder of invoices and MOT certificates.
The number plate XX03AML (right) is available by separate negotiation for £1,000.
At the 2002 British International Motor Show, Aston Martin unveiled their most powerful version of the DB7, the GT. Just 84 right hand drive examples were produced, a proportion of these being the automatic (GTA) version.
At well over £100,000 new (plus options), the GT had some major upgrades over the standard DB7 Vantage; more bhp (435) from the 5.9 litre V12, substantially modified suspension, improved aerodynamic features, new 18″ 5 spoke alloy wheels, larger Brembo brake discs and pads, revised ‘Quickshift’ gear lever and racing twin-plate clutch plus a free flowing exhaust with a by-pass valve to give the exhaust note some extra bark. Finally, the DB7 was the car the enthusiasts had longed for, a glorious GT cruiser which oozed style plus it now had the pace and handling to match.
