Porsche 911 SC LHD coupe 1982

Porsche 911 SC LHD coupe 1982

Have you been hunting for a nice classic 911?

Disappointed with what you’ve seen?

Come and take a look at this beauty.

This 911 is exactly the condition that most enthusiasts should aim for. Looking lovely in the pictures, the reality will match.

It’s a 911 that has defied time, the sandy gold body work (original colour)  is really nice and the underside equally impressive. This isn’t a 911 that is going to be needing restoration work in the future if she’s looked after. The inside, a dark chocolate brown, is equally neat and in the trunk, the original tools and spare.

The engine starts immediately and settles to a smooth beat, the car performs well and shifts through the gears nicely. It’s a great drive. The condition is a result of the mix of caring ownership, investment and the likely gentler way of driving in California. We looked after it when it came in from the US and made some improvements. We supplied it to the last owner who did few miles and came back for his third 911 from us. This is a 911 we recommend.

Supplied new on 1st January 1982 by Niello Porsche-Audi, California. It has a wonderful history of documentation following its life in the US with all 4 owners keeping extensive records of servicing, repairs and registration. Plans to import the car into the UK began in October 2015, with its official registration date being 1st March 2016. It underwent over £2,000 of maintenance on its arrival to the UK, and we carried out further extensive work amounting to over £2,700 in late 2016, all of which is archived in the folder. .

Fitted with an electric sliding sunroof, electric windows and wing mirrors, front fog lights, disc brakes front and rear and really nice 16″ Fuchs alloys. The original stereo has been replaced with a quality Alpine system. It also has the original spare wheel, tool roll and jack and 2 keys.

As previously mentioned, the car has a large folder of paperwork giving a fascinating insight into the history and how well it has been maintained – always a bonus when purchasing a classic Porsche such as this. This is a car which wouldn’t look out of place at any Porsche event in the world. Ready to drive away and use without any major restoration or mechanical work required. We see project Porsche of this type from around £20,000 which look cheap, however, the reality is that they will never be as nice as this for the same investment.

Our view, its a really strong Grade 3+, a very clean example for an enthusiast to enjoy without further work, one that would show well in a regional show and one that should present lots of fun and little stress.

That’s the aim, a 911 for the pleasure of driving.
