Brings smiles, attracts admirers and puts motorised art in your home.

This 911 was ordered new in Pastel blue, an unusual choice in 1970. Today, finding one like this, in a colour seldom seen before, adds exclusivity and interest, not to mention long term value. We like things that others do not have!

Delivered new early in 1970, ordered with the options of Antenna – left with loudspeaker and noise suppression, Comfort Equipment and tinted glass all around. It lived most of its life in Texas and then nice dry Arizona, prior to its arrival in the UK in November 2013. This is key to its condition 51 years after delivery.

The body is always the most expensive to restore or repair properly. Unlike the majority, it has not required extensive metal repairs or restoration. You can see what you have, and treated with some respect, the integrity will remain. It’s the bits you don’t see which impress, the original floors, original panels, original sills and jacking points. That kind of environment is the key. It’s incomparable to a 911 from the British climate.

The body has been repainted in its original shade (code 321) of Pastel blue (non metallic) whilst here in the UK. It has a deep lustre and looks fabulous against the bright chrome. Inside is a a tan or beige leatherette. Beautiful original instruments and a very nice patinated feel, not perfect, but neat and authentic.

In the back, making it’s sweet flat six song is the original matching numbers 2.2 combined with a 901 dogleg 5 speed transmission. It runs on carburettors and therefore sounds great when you ask for more. The engine is listed at 142 bhp and is more responsive than you may imagine – spec shows a 128 mph top speed. Remember that since the 70’s, 911 got heavier and heavier, this is probably not even 1100kg.

On the road it is smiles all round. Responsive, light, and eager to please, whilst attracting positive interest throughout a journey. It’s how it makes you feel that’s special, that’s the real value.

We have a good history dating back to the 80’s, also the original handbook and Certificate of Authenticity

This is not so much a fully restored example, rather more unusual than that. It’s a strong early 911, that’s been repainted well and has stood the test of time. It is set to surprise those of you that have been disappointed by the more average examples.

This 911 is checked, inspected, tested, prepared and comes with our own warranty. You will know what you are getting and what you are not. We can go through the car from point to point and after 30 years we know our stuff. We sell it as a strong Condition Group 3, meaning a great driver quality, to use, enjoy and without stress for the future.
