An amazing piece of VW history.
This 1956 oval window is a survivor. 60+ years of natural patina characterize the original Nile beige paintwork. This patina cannot be replicated or duplicated. It tells its own story.
First supplied to Sweden, it had just two owners there, neither of whom used the car a great deal. It spent at least 20 years in storage before being sold and brought to the UK in the late 1990’s.
The interior is 100% time warp, all original with the only addition being a genuine period rear venetian blind. Un-welded, un-restored other than the NSR wing has been replaced at some point in its life with an original year part. It was serviced with new perishables, fluids, tyres, and an engine refresh.
This VW must be preserved, it is a part of motoring history.
It could end up in a museum, as part of a collection or better still, catching the breeze on a nice day and letting it be seen by the public.
Offer it a good home.
