911 Carrera 3.2 coupe like this rarely become available; they are often retained in long-term ownership, or indeed, kept forever. They are one of the most rewarding classic Porsche to drive; communicative and responsive, easy going, with a slick G50 5-speed manual ‘box, and plenty of torque. In addition, you will love the unique soundtrack from the flat six.

This is a 911 you could enjoy every day, or on any day or journey. It begs to be driven. It’s a surprisingly easy travelling companion, fully capable of taking you across Europe at an agreeable pace.

This is one we supplied some 6 years ago. At the time, it came from a very careful owner, and we passed it on to another loving owner. Now it’s time to find this great Porsche a new home.

Delivered new in February 1988, by Douglas Cameron, OPC Perth. Within 12 months, this 911 had moved to the Midlands, before settling in the south west towards the end of the 1990’s.

Classic Guards red, featuring factory ‘Sport’ equipment, Bilstein Sports suspension, electric sunroof, front and rear spoilers, Sports seats and 16 inch Fuchs alloys.

The interior features additional ‘Z’ order specifications; Can-Can red carpets, Can-Can red piping, contrasting beautifully with the Linen leather seats and black dash, knee roll, door tops and headlining.

Since we supplied it in 2018, it has covered a mere 5,200 miles. The most recent service was carried out in our workshop less than 150 miles ago, with the clutch renewed approximately 6,000 miles ago.

Accompanied by an interesting history folder, with service stamps dating back to the first years of its life, 26 MOT certificates, 13 previous tax discs, a Certificate of Authenticity, plus lots, lots more. Much of that comes courtesy of the owner-before-last, who owned the car for almost 16 years.

It is quite obvious to see that this 911 has been really well loved. The interior is particularly attractive, with its unusual option of the Can-Can carpets. The body presents well, and whilst the paintwork, under close inspection, is not perfect, it is ideal to enjoy driving without stress.

The original radio cassette has been replaced with a Sony version.
