Porsche 944 manual coupe 1989

Outstanding provenance and just 44,930 miles from new!

This 944 is a 1989 model, and so features the one-year-only 165 bhp 2.7 litre engine.

Ordered new from Heddell and Deeks, the Porsche main dealer for Bournemouth, and delivered in November 1988.

The original invoice is with the car; optioned in Alpine white, the linen interior has a black beltline and the seat inserts are finished in white pinstripe velour. The customer also chose the wider tyre option and the expensive addition of air conditioning.

It stayed with its first lady owner for almost 30 years and, judging by the mileages recorded, was used for special occasions only. The detailed maintenance history during those years includes 23 service stamps, carried out by OPC Bournemouth and an independent Porsche specialist.

Early in 2017, the 944 was in the care of OPC Swindon, one of the 6 UK Porsche Classic Partner centres. Much investment was made into its preparation for sale, including a major service and cambelt change.

Four further keepers. Recently added Porsche Classic Communication Management system with navigation.

It’s now ready for a new home, and would be welcomed at Porsche events and car shows anywhere in the world.

Accompanied with spare keys, original book pack with service book (and a second, as the first is now full), drivers manual, MOT certificates and a leather folder full of invoices and receipts.
