Porsche 986 Boxster S manual 2003

An eye-catching Boxster with unusual specification and extensive history.

The original order form for this Boxster shows it exceeded £46,000 when ordered new in late 2002.

Supplied by Official Porsche Centre Stratstone of Wilmslow, and delivered in January 2003.

A long list of option boxes were ticked, plus some special ‘Z’ order extras.

• Speed yellow bodywork with matching roll over hoops and a black hood.
• Extended leather interior in black with ‘Z’ order contrast Speed yellow stitching for the seats and door trims.
• Aluminium Look interior package (handbrake lever and gearshift, dashboard, instrument surround and central air vents.)
• Heated Sports seats with the Porsche crest embossed on the head rests.
• Litronic (Xenon) headlight system.
• Porsche Communications Management (PCM) 2 with on board computer, navigation and telephone modules.
• BOSE Surround Sound System.
• Automatic air conditioning.

Further exterior specification includes a hardtop and genuine Speedster humps in matching Speed yellow. The 17 inch Boxster II alloys have just been refurbished and painted in a platinum finish. Rear parking sensors have been added too.

The most recent addition includes a set of H&R lowering springs, fitted in conjunction with Bilstein B8 shock absorbers (with new tops mounts, bumps stops and lower wishbones) and a Cargraphic Sports exhaust.

On the inside, the steering wheel has been re-trimmed in black leather with contrast yellow stitching and the seat belts have also been re-webbed in yellow.

The service book is almost full with 15 stamps. Maintenance by Official Porsche Centres and independent specialists. Last serviced in 2021, approximately 3,700 miles ago, the clutch was renewed just over 5,000 miles ago.
