Smart second generation Cayman, recent major service.
This is a Gen II 987 Cayman, looking smart in Aqua blue metallic with 19 inch SportDesign alloy wheels, and benefiting from a switchable Sports exhaust system.
First registered in March 2012, further specification includes:
- Rear ParkAssist.
- Rear wiper.
- Black interior with heated leather seats.
- Silver grey seat belts.
- Climate control.
The factory PCM system has been changed to a Kenwood touchscreen head unit, offering integrated Garmin navigation, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth handsfree and Audiostreaming, compatible with Spotify and Apple CarPlay (via USB), plus provisions for adding dashcams.
Serviced on a regular basis, with a total of 7 stamps in the book. The most recent was a major, with spark plugs, carried out here at Williams Crawford in January 2024.
The 2.9 litre 6 cylinder engine was introduced especially for these Gen II Cayman, with 265 hp, and no IMS bearing issues to worry about. At the same time, the 5-speed Tiptronic was upgraded to the 7-speed, double clutch (PDK).
