Porsche 997 (911) Carrera 2 S Tiptronic S 2005

Low miles 997 with the benefit of an IMS upgrade.

This 2005 model 997 Carrera 2 S has been very well maintained, and that’s a great recipe for a 911.

It benefits from a well documented history; 11 stamps in the service book, plus a folder of MOT certificates and invoices for much, much more.

Recent investment has taken care of the 997 ‘niggles’, which are often overlooked on 911 of this era. All the work was carried out here in the Williams Crawford workshop, and included renewing all the coolant pipes and the temperature sensor, various new metal brake pipes, new suspension items and, as previously mentioned, an IMS bearing upgrade.

The last major service with spark plugs, brake fluid change and a new drive belt was carried out at 46,769 miles, and since then, a further 2 engine oil and filter changes have been carried out, along with a Tiptronic S transmission oil and filter change.

Supplied in October 2004 by Jct 600, the Official Porsche Centre at Brooklands, optioned in classic Arctic silver metallic with extended Ocean (dark) blue leather interior; the seat centres are finished with ruffled leather.

On the road, as you would expect, it’s pure Porsche bliss. Handling is sharp and precise, the 3.8 litre 6 cylinder puts out 355 bhp so there’s always plenty of power on tap when the moment is right. It’s eager to perform, though perfectly content to pootle down to the shops too!
