Porsche 993 (911) Carrera 2 S Tiptronic S LHD coupe 1997

Desirable and beautiful, this 993 Carrera 2 S is a Porsche we know very well.

Factory optioned with both air conditioning and a sunroof, and unusually for a 993, with Guards red/Indischrot paintwork (Code 84A).

Carrera 2 S availability is limited; just 3,714 were made worldwide for the 1997/98 model years. Combining low production figures with the appeal of a RWD, wide body, air cooled 911 has ensured that this is a Porsche that will surely only become ever more desirable?

With a curvaceous Turbo body, wider rear track, lowered suspension and subtle design features, these special 911 not only looked great, but performed well too. Great road holding combined with the 3.6 litre air-cooled Varioram 6 cylinder putting out 285 hp to the rear wheels. Driving a Carrera 2 S is a special experience……..

This is a C08 Japanese LHD, originally supplied in March 1997. Imported into the UK in 2010 by Adrian Crawford, with approximately 90,000 km recorded, accompanied by an exemplary service record.

It quickly found a new home and the owner enjoyed this 911 both in the UK and then in France. It was registered in France in 2011; that would help a return to that country if a new owner chose to do so.

In 2015 it returned to the UK and was re-registered. Williams Crawford sold it once again; the preparation included a polybush upgrade for the wishbones and the installation of a KW Variant 3 suspension kit, followed by 4 wheel alignment and corner weighting for the perfect set up.

The original radio/cassette player was updated with an Alpine head unit with CD, Bluetooth and DAB radio.

Maintained since then by independent Porsche specialists. The most recent service was carried out here in the Williams Crawford workshop in October 2024.

The battery and tyres were replaced in early 2022. (This 911 now has 18 inch Turbo I alloys).

UK registered. Complete with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a full maintenance history. Original Japanese service books and driver’s manual plus a book pack with English driver’s manual and service book.

Spare wheel, tool kit and jack. Fitted with a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser.
