Michael had the following to say:

“Arriving in France I initially drove to Bordeaux and Carcasonne and then into Spain to Barcelona for the overnight ferry to Mallorca to experience the Sa Calobra twisty mountain road climb.”

“I was inspired by Henry Catchpole’s video on the 981 Boxster GTS best driving roads from a few years ago and had previously cycled this a couple of times. What really struck me on the way down to Spain was how easy it was to drive through France with fantastic quiet well surfaced roads suiting my Spyders firm set up, I have never enjoyed the car so much.“

“Following 5 days touring Mallorca I joined a tour in the Alps organised by Wheeltorque. This tour was limited to Porsche Spyders and was an awesome way to experience almost 1000kM of winding roads, taking in some stunning, dramatic and breathtaking scenery. Meeting with the other Spyder drivers, creating memories whilst enjoying some wonderful hotels and local cuisine.”

“In total I drove over 3400 miles in 2 weeks, with the 918 carbon buckets were supremely comfortable.”

This is Oak Green metallic, a colour not offered by Porsche for the Spyder, but more likely to be seen on Porsche from the 80’s. It looked absolutely sensational on this Spyder, especially with the decals. Our Special Request department is here and able to refinish your Porsche in a colour of your choice.
