How to fund the purchase of a classic or collector car

It’s easier than you may think to own your dream car.

If you’re someone who has always dreamed of owning a collector or classic car but thought it was out of reach, think again! Finance for these types of cars may be more affordable than you think.

The financing solutions available for collector and classic cars are different from what you might be used to. They’re innovative and tailored to suit the unique nature of these special vehicles. It’s old-school banking at its best, where the lender takes into account the quality of the borrower and the value of the asset, rather than just relying on a computer score.

Whether you’re an individual or a business, you’ll be treated as a person, not just a number. The financing solutions are flexible, with options including hire purchase with or without balloon facilities, re-finance, and interest-only facilities.

Here are a couple of examples to illustrate just how flexible and affordable financing* can be. We recently quoted on a couple of classics:

  1. A car that costs around £85,000 was available for well under £340 per month. In this example, it was a 50% deposit and the final 50% paid over 36 months.
  2. Another example was for a racing car that was priced at around £40,000 with a deposit of £20,000 and 60 payments of under £450.

Please keep in mind that these are just examples and not actual quotes. Every situation, client, and car is unique, so offers and rates may vary. If you’re interested in discussing finance options for your dream car, give us a call. Who knows, you could be behind the wheel of your dream car sooner than you ever imagined!
