Overview
Rare opportunity, 356 A (T2) Convertible D LHD.
This 356 presents exceptionally well and a detailed inspection is welcome.
A matching numbers example, finished in the original shade of 5702 Ruby red.
60 bhp 1,582 cc (Type 616/1) along with twin Zenith carburettors and 4 speed manual gearbox.
Our inspection suggests that it has all original panels, supported by an advert dated 2002.The doors, engine lid, trunk lid, latches/hinges, fuel tank, floors, sills and jacking points appear to be original, and we see no evidence of prior accident damage or significant metal replacement.The wheels are date marked 10/58, while the electrics remain as 6 volts.
Delivered by Rittersbacher of Kaiserlautern Germany in January 1959. Restored nearly 20 years ago in the US, arriving in the UK in 2013.
