Throughout its 30-year history the Porsche Boxster has seen several incarnations; coming full-circle, the 718 4.0 GTS represents an experience as close to the original Boxster ethos as you could wish for.

Powered by the same naturally aspirated 4.0 litre flat six found in the racy GT4, it is equipped with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanically locking diff, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with a 20mm lower ride height.

This low mileage 2022 model example has the prized manual gearbox, utilising the same dual mass flywheel set-up as its 911 GT3 big brother – the result is 395 hp, a 182 mph top speed, and a 0-62 sprint time of 4.5 seconds.

And this one stops as well as it goes thanks to the highly desirable Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), the distinctive yellow calipers clearly visible behind the black spokes of the 20 inch 718 Sport alloy wheels.
