One of the last of the legends, and so rare to find with such a confidence-inspiring history.

This Carrera 3.2 Targa has an exceptional provenance.

Accompanied by one of the most impressive maintenance records you are likely to see. There is a large file of paperwork documenting 19 services, with 14 stamps in the original service book, invoices, receipts and 31 MOT certificates – that’s every MOT issued for this car.

How unusual is it to have an archive like that?

The most recent service was carried out just 100 miles ago and the clutch was renewed 7,195 miles ago. Further benefiting from improvements such as Turbo tie rods and refurbished suspension parts, along with new Michelin tyres.

Just 6 keepers in total, 20+ years with the most recent.

This 3.2 Carrera left the factory in January 1989, the chassis number within the last 500 or so ever built. The Certificate of Authenticity confirms this is a matching chassis, engine and transmission example.

Originally supplied by OPC West Sussex, optioned with ‘Sport’ equipment; Bilstein suspension, front spoiler and iconic ‘whale tail’ rear, plus electrically adjustable Sports seats. (Note, we are able to remove the spoilers should you prefer.)

A great colour combination of Baltic blue metallic with two-tone interior. Inside is neat and well kept, a Marine blue dash top, steering wheel and door tops. Linen leather for the seats, the fronts with contrast blue piping. Linen carpet with dark blue over mats.

Factory fitted 3-point rear seat belts, rear wiper and ‘High Fidelity Package’ (8-speaker system with amp). The radio cassette has been updated to a Kenwood KRC head unit.

Complete with double keys, book pack with service book and manuals. Original spare wheel, compressor, tool roll and jack.

Celebrating the end of an era, these late models are widely acknowledged as one of the best classic 911 combinations to live with. Recogniseable over the earlier models, having the larger and wider 16 inch Fuchs alloys.

You get a responsive 3.2, with plenty of torque and a soundtrack like no other. Coupled with the effective G50 5-speed ‘box, plus great feedback from the chassis and steering.

It’s a very rewarding and fun drive, and when the weather is right, remove the Targa roof for enhanced, open-top thrills.
