Overview
Historic 911 S: built to race, ready to thrill.
This characterful 1967 short-wheelbase 2.0 ‘S’ is a driver’s car through and through. Eligible for a wide range of historic events, brimming with the components and character that make early 911s so revered. It’s fast, proven, and ready for its next chapter on the road, track or rally stages.
Far from being a museum showpiece, this is a car with stories to tell. Produced in December 1966 and originally supplied by Porsche Bologna, it lived most of its life in and around Milan before being upgraded—most likely in the 1990s or early 2000s—by Robert Sikkens Racing. The motor was replaced with a magnesium-case 1969 unit, built with S pistons and cams for serious performance.
It later joined the stable of British racer Mervyn Selwyn, entering the UK in 2004. Prepared over time to meet FIA regulations, it was issued with an FIA Historic Technical Passport (now expired) in August 2007 for competition in the GT Car category, FIA Class GTS16. Selwyn and the car were regulars at UK historic events, and its racing pedigree is well established.
Changing hands in May 2013, and again via Williams Crawford in 2019, it has since benefitted from extensive attention from our motorsport and restoration teams. The result is a highly capable classic that has competed throughout the UK and Europe.
The engine runs strongly, the transmission has closer ratios and, with that and the stiffer suspension, this is a 911 that really shifts. It is 100% fit for purpose.
Current specification includes a Safety Devices full cage with door bars, Sparco Rev II FIA race seats, Schroth 4-point harnesses, plumbed-in fire extinguisher, competition battery and exterior cut-off switch. Further upgrades include an uprated clutch, full Superpro polybushing, new shock absorbers, improved brakes, 4-wheel alignment, corner-weight and ride height setup, and rally-ready GPS digital road book wiring.
