Previously sold by us at Williams Crawford in 2017, the owner, having contemplated the important things in life during lockdown, requested we transform the car from a good classic 911 into an RS inspired fast road car, capable of continental road trips and able to comfortably mix it with more modern Porsche.

The air cooled 3.6 flat 6 had received a top end engine build just 12,500 miles prior and was performing beautifully. With that strong foundation in place, and following in-depth discussions and detailed planning, this 964 was then enhanced with the following:

• Lightweight flywheel and clutch, plus Quaife limited slip differential.
• Steve Wong performance chip for enhanced output and power delivery.
• Bilstein B16 adjustable coilover suspension with ride height set to RS specification
• Genuine 17 inch Porsche Cup alloy wheels.
• Rebuilt and upgraded brakes.
• RS brake ducts installed in front bumper.
• LED headlight conversion with daytime running lights.
• Strut brace installed.
• Cup mirrors.
• Electric air conditioning system.
• Front and rear seats refurbished and refinished in quality black Nappa leather with basketweave inserts and chrome eyelets.
• Leather dash, plus basketweave finish for the door cards.
• Rennline bright metal dial surrounds, ignition surround, gear shifter, handbrake lever and pedals.
• Fire extinguisher.

Recent further adaptations include a MOMO Classic Performance steering wheel in black leather with red stitching and red top-centre marker, and a Porsche Classic Communication Management system (PCCM) with navigation, DAB radio and up-to-date connectivity.

The result is a responsive, quick and superbly balanced 911 that retains all its classic character and exceptional soundtrack – now thoughtfully enhanced with a host of upgrades that make it rewarding to drive in the 21st century.

Finding a solid base 964 and then embarking on this level of work would be a significant investment of both time and money. This one is already done – and ready to be enjoyed straight away.

Coming from the beginnings of 964 Carrera 2 production, supplied originally by County Antrim Porsche main dealer, Isaac Agnew in January 1990, before being registered to the UK mainland in February 1997.

Accompanied by an extensive folder of invoices, receipts, MOT certificates and other documentation, this 964 has been well-kept and thoroughly cared for throughout its whole life. We completed a major service including a spark plug and brake fluid change c. 1,500 miles ago.

Comes with the original book pack with manuals, 2 service books and a total of 32 service stamps. Plus double keys, tool roll, spare wheel and compressor.
