One of Porsche’s finest moments?

The 911 GTS was introduced to the line up to bridge the gap for those who wanted more than an ‘S’, but didn’t fancy the hardcore rawness of a GT3.

As the name suggests, this 911 is a Sports Grand Tourer, capable of taking you, in comfort, to the circuit performing on track and then bringing you home again.

Power is increased courtesy of the factory X51 Powerkit, giving an additional 30 hp over a ‘standard’ S. 430 hp at 7,500 rpm translates to a 0-62 mph time of 4.0 seconds, and a top speed just shy of 190 mph.

Performance and handling are enhanced with the addition of the Sport Chrono Package, dynamic engine mounts (PADM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), active suspension management (PASM) and the switchable sports exhaust system.

And its performance is matched by its exceptionally good looks; the wider body of the Carrera 4, in Jet black metallic with 20 inch 911 Turbo S centre lock alloys, finished in satin black. SportDesign front spoiler and wing mirrors and PDLS (Porsche Dynamic Lighting System).

Inside is trimmed in a mix of black leather and sporty Alcantara, with silver/grey stitching. Heated, 18-way electrically adjustable Adaptive Sports seats Plus with memory for the driver’s side.

SportDesign steering wheel with PDK gearshift paddles, again, finished in Alcantara, as is the PDK gear selector.

Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 3.0 with navigation, digital radio, universal audio interface plus BOSE Surround Sound System.

Supplied by OPC Mid Sussex in March 2015, to the first of just three keepers. Main dealer serviced in 2017 and 2020, plus 2 more services carried out here at Williams Crawford in 2022 and 2023.

This is a 911 to drive and enjoy, a stealthy wolf in sheep’s clothing. Amiable enough to use every day, but when the feeling takes you, switch into Sports + mode and unleash the supercar performance.
