Overview

One of the 333 RHD 993 Targa featuring the 6 speed manual gearbox.

Delivered in March 1997 by Evans Halshaw, the Official Porsche Centre at Stourbridge.

A folder of invoices, receipts and MOT certificates provides a great maintenance history, plus there are 19 stamps in the service book. The 3 most recent were carried out here at Williams Crawford, the last of which was just 450 miles ago.

From 2011 until 2021, it led a relaxed life as a Guernsey resident, covering a mere 4,600 miles in those 10 years. The Targa returned to the mainland in 2021, where we subsequently supplied it to its most recent keeper.

Specification:

  • Ocean blue metallic.
  • 17 inch ‘Targa only’ split rim alloy wheels.
  • Marble grey and Midnight blue interior with Leather Sports seats and ‘Z’ order Midnight blue carpets.
  • Air conditioning.
  • Becker Mexico Pro radio/CD.
  • Rear wiper.

Double keys, original book pack with service book and manuals, original spare wheel, compressor, tool roll and jack.

Supplied with our own 6 months classic Porsche warranty.

A Targa model has featured in the 911 line-up since 1967, but for the 993, Porsche introduced an updated version of the popular open-air variant. Instead of manually removing the roof section, the 1996 model saw the introduction of an all-electric sliding glass panel to bring the outside in; perfect for a sunny day. When the weather’s not so great, close the roof and sunblind and you’re immediately back in cosy coupe territory.

With 285 hp from the air-cooled Varioram 3.6, a 993 will always be an attractive proposition, and the rarity of being a manual ‘box, ‘best-of-both-worlds’ Targa surely means it will only ever become more desirable?
