Significantly, following remedial repairs to the usual 993 scuttle areas etc. the car had a complete repaint in its original shade of Ocean blue metallic. Carried out towards the end of 2021 by Kent based SP Vehicle Repairs, accompanied by photographs of the process.

Regularly serviced, 22 in total, the clutch was renewed at 70,000 miles, all four Bilstein shock absorbers at 74,500 miles, plus lots, lots more.

This 1997 RHD 993 Targa manual is one of just a suggested figure of 333 which came to the UK. Why they were so rarely ordered is a mystery, probably to do with the cost. However, in today’s market, these classic 911 have a lot to offer the enthusiast.
